The problem
Promopeer came to Ultra Commerce with a significant challenge – to build a marketplace where a customer can purchase a single configurable product which combined a physical product and a service product from multiple vendors in a single purchase.
A simple enough consideration, however the complexities involved were extensive and was one of the most challenging solutions delivered by Ultra Commerce to date.
The solution
The solution required the development of multiple new product types for our marketplace solution including the Matrix Configurable Product and Multi-Vendor Configurable Product.
These two product types, combined deliver a world first solution – a single product that combines products from multiple vendors, shipping between vendors and a delivery chain from product vendor to service vendor to customer.
