Nobody Else Offers That’: New Hire Matt Boland on Spreading Awareness and the Gap that Exists in Digital Commerce Today

Monday, April 19, 2021

Chicago, IL – Ultra Commerce is pleased to announce the newest member of its sales team – Matt Boland. Matt will head up the Ultra Commerce Partners as the Network Director Global Partner Development, a role he performed similarly at SAP, IBM, Magento and then Adobe when they acquired Magento. He brings a wealth of expertise and an established, industry-leading partner program; social and digital footprint to expand awareness around the Ultra Commerce SaaS platform offering.

Matt was drawn to Ultra Commerce’s technology and platform based on its glove-like fit with a market that needs its unique and comprehensive digital commerce solution. There is no other commerce platform offering in market today that includes a best of breed PIM capability along with a comprehensive Order Management System, plus a Marketplace all fully integrated into the one technology stack. When you add the Ultra Commerce single all-inclusive pay as you consume license model, this is game changing.

It truly is an interconnected, fully integrated ecosystem for enterprise-grade businesses to scale their online selling digitally under one license, on one platform – a unique offering unlike any other in the global market to date.

“To say, here’s a platform that has a Marketplace built in and an Order Management application built in? Nobody else offers that,” Matt said. “There’s a lot of value add in what we are doing that reaches multiple markets, and offers ancillary modules that understand the platform space versus going out and finding that third party application to add in.”

The one aspect of Matt’s position he’s most excited about is creating awareness. Both with his connections from his time heading Magento’s industry-best partner program, and by using his social and digital presence. Spreading awareness of the Ultra Commerce platform is just that critical in servicing the gap that exists in the market today.

Matt follows Dave Crow (Chief Customer Officer) and Mike Lewandowski (Senior Account Executive), two fellow recent additions to the sales and business development team who followed similar paths to Ultra Commerce (Dave from Magento and IBM as well and Mike from SAP and IBM).

Top tech talent choose Ultra Commerce

This story of top industry talent migrating from the competition to Ultra Commerce is nothing new and spans both across departments and the globe. UK-based Stan Klabbers (Solutions Consultant) came to Ultra Commerce last year from Elastic Path Software, and fellow UK-based John Leslie-Moorby (Regional Vice President, EMEA) came to Ultra Commerce last year from Episerver.

That is merely a snapshot of the global Ultra Commerce team’s recent additions, as we continue to grow along with our platform to best service our customers worldwide as a technology partner for years to come.
